Microsoft distributes Microsoft SQL Server 2008 Service Pack 3 fixes as one downloadable file. Because the fixes are cumulative, each new release contains all the hotfixes and all the security fixes that were included with the previous SQL Server 2008 Service Pack 3 fix release.

Symptoms

Assume that you have a Multidimensional Expressions (MDX) query that contains a where clausein Microsoft SQL Server 2012 Analysis Services (SSAS 2012), Microsoft SQL Server 2008 Analysis Services (SSAS 2008) or Microsoft SQL Server 2008 R2 Analysis Services (SSAS 2008 R2). You run a query to return multiple calculated members. In this situation, an incorrect result is returned.

Note When you query one of the calculated members in the select statement, the result is returned correctly.

The format of the MDX query is as follows:

with
member [Dimension1].[Hierarchy1].[calculationMember1]
as Aggregate( {[Dimension1].[Hierarchy1].[Level1].[Member1ofLevel].[Member1ofLevel2]})
member [Dimension1].[Hierarchy1].[calculationMember2]
as Aggregate({[Dimension1].[Hierarchy1].[Member1ofLevel].[Member2ofLevel2]})
select
[Measures].[Measure1] on 0,
{
[Dimension1].[Hierarchy1].[calculationMember1],
[Dimension1].[Hierarchy1].[calculationMember2]
} on 1
from [YourCube]
where[Dimension1].[Level1].[Member1ofLevel]
