This article describes Hotfix Package 3 for Microsoft Application Virtualization (App-V) 4.6 Service Pack 2 (SP2). This hotfix package contains the latest hotfixes for App-V 4.6 SP2.
Note We recommend that you test hotfixes before you deploy them in a production environment. Because these builds are cumulative, each new hotfix package contains all the hotfixes that were included with the previous hotfix package. We recommend that you apply the most recent hotfix package for App-V SP2. This package is dated October 2013.
Issue that is fixed in this hotfix package
When you use Microsoft Live Essentials or Microsoft Accounts together with Microsoft Application Virtualization (App-V) 4.6 Service Pack 2, a Desktop Configuration Refresh (DC Refresh) authentication may sometimes fail. For example, you may be prompted for your credentials every time that you start an application.
This problem occurs because of an authentication issue in the handling of the Real Time Streaming Protocol (RTSP) that is used with these services.
To resolve this problem, apply this hotfix before these services are started. The hotfix resolves authentication failures with RTSP only.
