When you view the properties of a folder in Microsoft Outlook, you can get an approximate size of the folder in kilobytes (KB). By default, the Folder Size button is on the General tab of the folder properties. In some instances, you may want to remove the Folder Size button, or it may already be missing.
Warning Serious problems might occur if you modify the registry incorrectly by using Registry Editor or by using another method. These problems might require that you reinstall the operating system. Microsoft cannot guarantee that these problems can be solved. Modify the registry at your own risk.
To remove or to replace the Folder Size button, exit Outlook, start the Registry Editor, and then locate the following key in the registry, as appropriate for the version of Outlook that you are running:
