FIX: Error Occurs when you Exit Internet Explorer or Excel When You Use a Pivot Table Control with a Visual Basic User Defined Function

If you use a Microsoft Visual Basic User Defined Function in a calculated member, and then the calculated member is used in a Pivot Table control in either Microsoft Excel or Microsoft Internet Explorer, an "Application Error" may occur when you exit Microsoft Excel or Internet Explorer.

Use the Msvbvm60.dll (version Visual Basic run-time file in Visual Studio 6.0 Service Pack 4 (SP4).

SQL Server 2000 (Analysis Services)

This problem was first corrected in the Analysis Services Components of Microsoft SQL Server 2000 Service Pack 1.
You can extend the list of built-in functions by creating libraries of functions using the Component Object Model (COM) in Microsoft Visual Basic. You can register these libraries and use your functions in calculated member definitions and other expressions written in Multi-dimensional Expressions (MDX).
