Delay occurs when you sign in to a Lync for Mac 2011 client that is moved from a corporate network to an external network
Consider the following scenario:
- You sign in to Microsoft Lync for Mac 2011 by using a laptop in a corporate network.
- You make the laptop hibernate. And then you start the laptop in an external network.
- You try to sign in to Lync for Mac 2011.
In this scenario, Lync for Mac 2011 takes up to 5 minutes to connect to a front-end server and finish signing in.
This issue occurs because Lync for Mac 2011 tries to reconnect to the front-end server by using the TCP port that does not support external access.
To resolve this issue, install the following cumulative update:
