Symptoms
When you use Microsoft SQL Server 2014, you may encounter the following issue that is related in SQL Server 2014 Release Notes:
Procedure and query execution statistics for natively compiled stored procedures record worker time in multiples of 1000
Issue: After you enable the collection of procedure or query execution statistics collection for natively compiled stored procedures using sp_xtp_control_proc_exec_stats or sp_xtp_control_query_exec_stats, you see the *_worker_time reported in multiples of 1000, in the DMVs sys.dm_exec_procedure_stats and sys.dm_exec_query_stats. Query executions that have a worker time of less than 500 microseconds will be reported as having a worker_time of 0.
Cause
The issue occurs because the API that is used to view the CPU time has a precision up to milliseconds only and it cannot be used to view CPU time in microsecond precision.
Resolution
After you apply the fix, the worker time is reported in microseconds, and the number is no longer rounded to multiples of 1000.
The issue was first fixed in the following cumulative update of SQL Server.
