When a program or a game is started by multiple users by means of the Fast User Switching feature, that program or game can transfer its sound to the other users. In particular, there can be an overlapping sound when a second user starts the same program.
This behavior can occur because these programs or games have not been designed for use with multiple users or with the Fast User Switching technology.
To work around this behavior, either run one instance of the program or close the program before you use the Fast User Switching feature.
This behavior is by design.
The following list contains the names of programs or games that have displayed the behavior that is described in the Symptoms section of this article:
Dark Reign 2 Audio
Cabela's Big Game Hunter
Electronic Arts(EA) NHL 2001
Hoyle Card Games
