You send a meeting request that you created by using the Plan a Meeting feature on the Actions menu in Microsoft Outlook 2002 or in Microsoft Office Outlook 2007. When you do this, the Plan a Meeting dialog box does not automatically close as it does in Microsoft Outlook 97 and Microsoft Outlook 98.
To resolve this behavior, click Close after you have finished planning the meeting.
This behavior is by design.
The functionality of the Plan a Meeting feature was changed in Outlook 2002 and in Outlook 2007. This was done to let you plan multiple meetings without requiring you to re-open the Plan a Meeting dialog box after you send each meeting request.
