When a "fnevNewMail | fnevExtended" event mask is set in an Advise() call to the store, new mail notification may not work.
This problem can occur because of an un-initialized variable in Exchange 2000 Server Service Pack 1 (SP1).

NOTE: Because of file dependencies, this update requires Microsoft Exchange Server 2000 Service Pack 1. To work around this problem, use a "fnevNewMail" event mask instead of the "fnevNewMail | fnevExtended" event mask; if you do so, new mail notification works.
Microsoft has confirmed that this is a problem in Microsoft Exchange 2000 Server SP1. This problem was first corrected in Microsoft Exchange 2000 Server Service Pack 2.
