Internet Explorer Kiosk mode freezes and a black bar appears at the top of the screen in an RDP connection
- You connect to a Remote Desktop Protocol (RDP) session by using Mstsc.exe.
- You start Windows Internet Explorer 11 or Windows Internet Explorer 10 in Kiosk mode.
- You disconnect from the RDP session, reestablish the connection, and then start Internet Explorer in Kiosk mode again.
Note This update was first included in the August 2015 security update for Internet Explorer (MS15-079).
