Incorrect file name in the File Open or File Save dialog boxes

This article has been archived. It is offered "as is" and will no longer be updated.
When trying to open or save a file in Internet Explorer version 5.5 Service Pack 2 (SP2) and Internet Explorer version 6, you may see an incorrect file name in either the File Open or File Save dialog box, and you may not be able to open or save the file.
This problem occurs because the File Open and File Save dialog boxes use the file name from the Internet Explorer Address bar instead of that actual file name that is specified in the Content-Disposition header.

Internet Explorer 5.5 Service Pack 2
