Symptoms
Consider the following scenario:

You run a transaction by using the Microsoft OLE DB Provider for DB2 that is delivered with Microsoft Host Integration Server 2013.

Connection pooling is enabled.
-
The Units of Work property is set to DUW for distributed transactions.
In this scenario, you may receive the following error message:
"Failed to get connection from pool", SQLCODE = -7049, SQLSTATE = HY000
Note You will receive this error message even if there should be free connections in the pool.
Cause
The Max Pool Size property is incorrectly handled by the OLE DB Provider for DB2 if distributed transactions are used.
Resolution
