Command Prompt Window Is Not Themed When Using Visual Styles in Windows XP
This article has been archived. It is offered "as is" and will no longer be updated.
When you are using a command prompt, the Command Prompt window is not displayed with the Windows XP theme. Instead, the Command Prompt window uses the Windows Classic theme.
The Command Prompt window runs under the Client Server Runtime System (CSRSS), which cannot be themed.
This behavior is by design.
