Outlook 2013 crashes after the February 2015 update or later updates

Symptoms
Your installation of Microsoft Outlook 2013 randomly crashes. In this situation, you may see one or more of the following crash signatures under event ID 1000 in the Application log.

Cause
This problem occurs after you install one of the following updates:

  • Outlook 2013 February 10, 2015, update KB2956128
  • Outlook 2013 March 10, 2015, update KB2956203
  • Outlook 2013 March 26, 2015, update KB2965290
  • Outlook 2013 April 14, 2015, update KB2965270
  • Outlook 2013 May 12, 2015, update KB3039799
Resolution
To resolve this issue, install the June 9, 2015 update for Outlook 2013. For information about this update, click the following article to view it in the Microsoft Knowledge Base:

To review the Application log, follow these steps:

  1. In Control Panel, open the Administrative Tools item.
  2. Double-click Event Viewer.
  3. In the details pane, select Application under Windows Logs.
  4. In the Actions pane, click Filter Current Log.
  5. In the Filter Current Log dialog box, enter 1000 (as shown in the following screen shot), and then click OK.
