The CNR-based SoundMAX (S/PDIF & Optical Output) audio extension card extends audio functionality. Although you can add the card to an i815-based motherboard if the motherboard has a CNR slot, you cannot use the output from the card.
S/PDIF stands for Sony/Philips-Digital Interface.
