Excel 2016 for Mac does not return correct results when you search for number values

Symptoms
When you use the Search feature in Microsoft Excel 2016 for Mac to find the values in a workbook that have Number formatting, you may not receive results even though there are Number-formatted values in the workbook. For example, a workbook contains the value "$1,200." However, when you search for "1200" in the workbook, the search results do not return "$1,200."
Cause
This issue occurs because the Search feature is looking for the exact cell format that is being requested. This behavior differs from the behavior in Excel for Windows.
Workaround
When you search for a specific number, try searching in several different ways. If you know the format of the number for which you are looking, search for the exact string.
