The English version of this fix should have the following file attributes or later. The dates and times for these files are listed in Coordinated Universal Time (UTC). When you view the file information, it is converted to local time. To find the difference between UTC and local time, use the Time Zone tab in the Date and Time tool in Control Panel.
   Date Time Version Size File name ---------------------------------------------------------- 26-OCT-2001 03:42:32 7,159,853 Excel.exe 03-MAR-2001 12:25:02 2.0.4807.0 86,016 Msstko32.dll

To work around this problem, open and save the file in Microsoft Excel 2002 if available. This process repairs the file so that you can then reopen it in Microsoft Excel 2000.
Microsoft has confirmed that this is a problem in the Microsoft products that are listed at the beginning of this article. This problem was first corrected in Microsoft Office 2000 Service Pack 3 (SP-3).
