A black screen appears after you sign in to Skype for Business for iOS

After you sign in to the Skype for Business for iOS client (version 6.0), you see only a black screen.
This problem occurs if you sign in by using Passive Authentication credentials (a sign-in address without a password).
This issue was resolved in version 6.0.1447 of the Skype for Business for iOS client, which was released on October 22, 2015. To download the latest version of the Skype for Business for iOS client, go to the following Apple website:

To work around this problem, follow these steps:

  1. Force Skype for Business for iOS to close by using the Fast App Switcher. To do this, double-tap the Home button, and then swipe up on the app preview.
  2. Start Skype for Business for iOS again.
You should now be signed in correctly, and the app should be displayed on screen.

Known issues

The method in the "Workaround" section works if you're running a single pool behind your Edge server and if users are homed on that pool. If there is a director or multiple pools (that is, users are homed on a pool that’s not the next hop) within the environment, Passive Authentication is unsuccessful even after you force a close and then restart the app.
