FIX: An access violation occurs when you use the TDE and BPE features in SQL Server 2014 or 2016

Microsoft distributes Microsoft SQL Server 2014 or 2016 fixes as one downloadable file. Because the fixes are cumulative, each new release contains all the hotfixes and all the security fixes that were included with the previous SQL Server 2014 fix release.
Symptoms
When you use transparent data encryption (TDE) together with the buffer pool extension (BPE) feature in an instance of Microsoft SQL Server 2014 Service Pack 1 or an instance of Microsoft SQL Server 2016, an access violation might occur.
