When you try to send a Hotmail message from Outlook Express, the following error message may appear:
The server does not support the required HTTP methods.
Account: Hotmail
Server: http://services.msn.com/svcs/hotmail/httpmail.asp
Protocol: HTTPMail
Server Response: Method Not Allowed
Port: 0
Secure(SSL): No
Error Number: 0x800CCC35
Hotmail functions normally through the Hotmail Web site.
This behavior can occur if you have multiple Hotmail e-mail accounts that are assigned to a single e-mail identity in Outlook Express.
To work around this behavior, create one or more new e-mail identities and verify that only one Hotmail account exists for each e-mail identity.

For additional information about how to create a new identity, click the article number below to view the article in the Microsoft Knowledge Base:

Microsoft has confirmed that this is a problem in the Microsoft products that are listed at the beginning of this article.
