Server applications that require SNMP can't work after the upgrade to Windows Server 2012 R2

After you upgrade a server to Windows Server 2012 R2, some server applications that require Simple Network Management Protocol (SNMP) may not work. In addition, the following events are logged in the Event Log:

EventID: 1500
Description: The SNMP Service encountered an error while accessing the registry key SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\SNMP\Parameters\ExtensionAgents.
Source: SNMP
Severity: Critical

EventID: 1102
Description: The SNMP Service is ignoring extension agent dll <DLL file path> because it is missing or misconfigured.
Source: SNMPSeverity: Warning

This issue occurs because the application's SNMP hooks may not be migrated during the upgrade.
To work around the issue, reinstall the applications that require SNMP.
