Word displays Security Alert dialog after installed Update

Symptoms
After installed some Office Updates, you received the following security alert:

Warning: The digital signature is valid, but the signature is from a publisher whom you have not yet chosen to trust.



Cause
This problem occurs if all the following conditions are true:

The Update you installed updated some DLL files which are signed by Digital Signature.

The old Digital Signature expired and the Update refreshed it using new certificate.

The following option was checked:

File -> Options -> Trust Center -> Trust Center settings -> Add-ins -> Require Application Add-ins to be signed by Trusted Publisher

Resolution
To resolve this problem, we have below methods:

Method 1:

Uncheck the following option:

File -> Options -> Trust Center -> Trust Center settings -> Add-ins -> Require Application Add-ins to be signed by Trusted Publisher 

Method 2:

Check the option Enable all code published by this publisher, then click OK button.




Method 3:

Install the new certificate to Trusted Publishers store.
