SP1: UTF-8 and Code Page Characters Are Garbled and Lost in Web Author ActiveX Authoring Window

SYMPTOMS
When you use Web Author to submit UTF-8 characters in the ActiveX authoring window, the entered data is garbled and lost.
CAUSE
The ActiveX control for Content Management Server (CMS) 2001 cannot process the CodePage property, and therefore cannot display characters such as UTF-8 characters properly.
RESOLUTION
To resolve this problem, obtain the latest service pack for Microsoft Content Management Server 2001. For additional information, click the following article number to view the article in theMicrosoft Knowledge Base:

STATUS
Microsoft has confirmed that this is a problem in Microsoft Content Management Server 2001. This problem was first corrected in Microsoft Content Management Server 2001 Service Pack 1.
