When you close a Windows Explorer window, Windows Explorer may stop responding (hang). This problem may occur if all of the following conditions exist:
You use the Korean Global Input Method Editor (IME) tool for Microsoft Office XP.
You set the Korean Global IME to be the default input language.
You have the Language bar floating on the desktop.

A supported hotfix is available from Microsoft. However, this hotfix is intended to correct only the problem that is described in this article. Apply this hotfix only to systems that are experiencing this specific problem. This hotfix might receive additional testing. To work around this problem, minimize the Language bar. This may reduce the frequency with which the problem occurs.
Microsoft has confirmed that this is a problem in the Microsoft products that are listed at the beginning of this article. This problem was first corrected in Windows XP Service Pack 1.
