Workers comp batch is created that has blank subaccount when Earnings Type does not contribute to Net Pay

Symptoms
Consider the following scenario in Payroll in Microsoft Dynamics SL:

  • In Earnings Type (02.270.00), you have an earnings type that has Contributes to Net Pay disabled.
  • Enter a payroll for an employee by using this earnings type.
  • Open Generate Workers' Compensation Premiums (02.580.00) screen and process for date range that includes this paycheck.
  • You will notice this workers' compensation batch is created that has a blank subaccount.
Resolution
