"The user name or password provided is incorrect" error when you try to log on to Web Apps if the Windows account does not have rights to the "allow log on locally" policy
Consider the following scenario in Web Apps in Microsoft Dynamics SL:
Try logging into Web Apps with a user who has a Windows account that does not have rights to the “Allow log on locally” policy that you receive this error:
"The user name or password provided is incorrect"
Note: The “Allow Log on Locally” policy can be found at Server Manager >Tools>Local Security Policy >Expand Local Policies>click User Rights Assignment.
