Symptoms

You use the Tabular Model Scripting Language (TMSL) in SQL Server 2016. When you run a JavaScript Object Notation (JSON) based statement script, you see from the SQL Profiler that the Analysis Management Objects (AMO) instance is enumerating corresponding events with class CommandBegin and CommandEnd and subclass JsonCommand. But when you subscribe to events programmatically, TraceEventSubclass does not enumerate events of subclass JsonCommand.

Resolution

The fix for this issue is included in the following cumulative update for SQL Server:

Note This fix can be obtained by installing a new version of the AMO assemblies on the client computer.
