When you are using Microsoft Windows 2000 Service Pack 2 (SP2) with a large number of dial-on-demand (DOD) connections, you may experience intermittent connectivity problems on some of the DOD interfaces. This problem may occur on a server that contains eight or more DOD interfaces. This symptom may occur for both persistent and DOD routes. When the problem occurs and you try to connect the DOD connection, you receive a status of "Connecting", but the connection is never established. You may also receive the following events in the System Event Log:
