XL2002: You Cannot Activate Embedded Excel Workbook That Contains VBA Code

If you activate an embedded Microsoft Excel workbook that contains Microsoft Visual Basic for Applications (VBA) code in Microsoft Word, and then save the Word document, it is not possible to activate the workbook again.
To resolve this problem, obtain the latest service pack for Microsoft Office XP. For additional information, click the following article number to view the article in theMicrosoft Knowledge Base:

The English version of this fix should have the following file attributes or later:
   Date          Time    Size         File name        --------------------------------------------------   11-Jun-2002   05:49   13,168,712   Excel.msp   11-Jun-2002   06:19   14,112,768   Excel_Admin.msp				
After the hotfix is installed, the following files have the listed attributes or later:
   Date          Time    Version       Size        File name        ---------------------------------------------------------   10-Jun-2002  14:28    10.0.4205.0   9,177,672   Excel.exe				

Microsoft has confirmed that this is a problem in the Microsoft products that are listed at the beginning of this article. This problem was first corrected in Microsoft Office XP Service Pack 2 (SP-2).
