A Windows 2000-based computer may become unresponsive under heavy stress in the network redirector. A service that maps many network drives and opens many files over the network may expose this problem. Terminal Services servers may also be affected by this problem when mapped drives are being used.
Under a particular set of conditions, a deadlock condition occurs in the redirector.
