Error 0x80190194 Is Logged in the Windows Update.log File When the Client Queries "/autoupdatedrivers/getmanifest.asp"

If Automatic Updates version 2.2 is configured to use a server that is running Software Update Services, an error message that is similar to the following error message may be logged in the Windows Update.log file on the Automatic Updates 2.2 client computer:

You do not have to take any action to resolve this error. This is an expected error that does not indicate a problem.
The error is logged when the Automatic Updates client tries to check the server that is running Software Update Services for driver updates that Software Update Services does not synchronize. Therefore, the Autoupdatedrivers folder does not exist on the server that is running Software Update Services. Error 0x80190194 is actually an HTTP status code 404 (File Not Found). This code is returned to the client by the server that is running Software Update Services.

When an error occurs, the error is typically logged in hexadecimal format. If the hexadecimal error code begins with the prefix 0x8019, you can convert the last three digits of the error code to decimal to obtain the HTTP status code that was returned to the client during the detection cycle.

For example, hexadecimal error code 0x80190194 can be converted to HTTP status code 404. To do this, convert the last three digits of the hexadecimal code (194, in this example) to decimal (404, in this example).
