This article has been archived. It is offered "as is" and will no longer be updated.
Symptoms
The configuration that you use to build an image may contain components that were included in Microsoft Windows XP Embedded updates that were released after Windows XP Embedded with Service Pack 1. When you build this image, incorrect files may be included, or files may be missing. This problem affects all hotfix packages that are released specifically for Windows XP Embedded with Service Pack 1, and does not affect any components or hotfix packages for Windows XP Embedded or any existing components for Windows XP Embedded with Service Pack 1.

Resolution
You must have an update to the repository lookup to resolve this issue. A hotfix is available that incorporates this update and that includes a new repository object for future hotfix installations.
