When you edit a Word document that causes Word to repaginate the document, Word may never complete the repagination. Also, Word may appear to stop responding (hang). If you press ESC to stop the repagination, you receive the following informational message:If you click No, the repagination process stops, and then Word switches to Normal view. However, if you switch back to Print Layout view, the repagination process continues endlessly. This symptom may occur if all the following conditions are true:
To work around this problem, use one of the following methods.
Method 1: Remove the nested table text wrapping formatting
Method 2: Remove the nested table from the document
Method 3: Remove the NUMPAGES field in the header or footer
Method 4: Turn off Track ChangesTo turn off Track Changes, click Track Changes on the Tools menu.
