An access violation occurs when you validate a message in Message Queuing 2.0

In Microsoft Message Queuing, also known as MSMQ, 2.0, you may receive an access violation in NTDLL.DLL while the queue manager is performing packet validation on a message. There are no other indications of the problem.

Hotfix Information

A supported fix is now available from Microsoft, but it is only intended to correct the problem that is described in this article. Apply it only to computers that are experiencing this specific problem. This fix may receive additional testing. Microsoft has confirmed that this is a problem in the Microsoft products that are listed at the beginning of this article. This problem was first corrected in Microsoft Windows 2000 Service Pack 4.
