Various Programs May Stop Responding Occasionally

Various programs on your Windows 2000-based computer may stop responding or "hang" occasionally.
This behavior occurs if a noninteractive service on a Windows 2000-based computer invokes a process or service that runs in the WinSta0 interactive window station.

Hotfix Information

A supported hotfix is available from Microsoft. However, this hotfix is intended to correct only the problem that is described in this article. Apply this hotfix only to systems that are experiencing this specific problem.
