You cannot send e-mail messages from Word, PowerPoint, and Excel

Support for Office 2003 has ended

Microsoft ended support for Office 2003 on April 8, 2014. This change has affected your software updates and security options. Learn what this means for you and how to stay protected.

When you use Microsoft Word, Microsoft PowerPoint, or Microsoft Excel, the Send To command may not appear on the File menu. Additionally, Visual Basic for Applications macro code that uses the SendMail method may not work.
Your e-mail program does not use Messaging Application Programming Interface (MAPI).
To send e-mail from a Microsoft Office program, you must have an e-mail program that supports MAPI. Examples of MAPI-compliant e-mail programs are Microsoft Outlook and Microsoft Outlook Express. Additionally, there are third-party e-mail programs.
