In Windows XP, when your computer changes to Daylight Saving Time or changes from Daylight Saving Time, the Available from setting for your printer also changes.

A supported hotfix is available from Microsoft. However, this hotfix is intended to correct only the problem that is described in this article. Note The "Hotfix download available" form displays the languages for which the hotfix is available. If you do not see your language, it is because a hotfix is not available for that language.The English version of this fix has the file attributes (or later) that are listed in the following table. The dates and times for these files are listed in coordinated universal time (UTC). When you view the file information, it is converted to local time. To find the difference between UTC and local time, use the Time Zone tab in the Date and Time tool in Control Panel.

Microsoft has confirmed that this is a problem in the Microsoft products that are listed in the "Applies to" section. This problem was first corrected in Microsoft Windows XP Service Pack 2.
The Available from setting configures the printer for limited availability. If you send a document to a printer when the printer is not available, the document is held (spooled) until the printer is available.
To set the Available from setting for your printer, follow these steps:
Click Start, and then click Printers and Faxes.
Right-click your installed printer, and then click Properties.
On the Advanced tab, click to select the Available from check box, and then enter the time when you want the printer to start to be available in the Start box. Enter the time that you want the printer to end being available in the End box.
