When you create a document with shapes that contains text in Microsoft Word 2000 and then open the document in Word 2002, the shapes are resized so that they are now extremely wide.
This problem occurs if all the following conditions are true:
In the Format AutoShape dialog box, the Word wrap text in AutoShape check box is not selected.
The shapes have been grouped.
The shape contains a manual line break (created by pressing Shift-Enter).

Microsoft has confirmed that this is a problem in the Microsoft products that are listed at the beginning of this article. This problem was first corrected in Office XP Service Pack 3.
