Windows Server 2003-Based Computer Becomes Unresponsive to RDP Sessions
Your Microsoft Windows Server 2003-based computer may become unresponsive to Remote Desktop Protocol (RDP) sessions. When this problem occurs, you may experience one or more of the following behaviors:
- If you are running any RDP sessions, you may see a blank blue screen.
- A blank blue screen is displayed at the server console.
- There is no response to keyboard or to mouse actions.
- Remote PerfMon logs may stop logging data.
- Computer Management stops responding when you try to remotely access Services or Device Manager for the server that is experiencing this problem.
Hotfix InformationA supported hotfix is available from Microsoft. However, this hotfix is intended to correct only the problem that is described in this article. Apply this hotfix only to systems that are experiencing this specific problem. This hotfix might receive additional testing. Therefore, if you are not severely affected by this problem, we recommend that you wait for the next software update that contains this hotfix.
