FIX: The Norwegian version of Windows Media Player 9 Series for Windows Millennium Edition crashes

SYMPTOMS
If you run Microsoft Windows Media Player 9 Series on the Norwegian language version of Microsoft Windows Millennium Edition, Windows Media Player may cause a Dr. Watson error when it tries to display the downloaded file percentage. The following error message is logged in the event log:

CAUSE
This problem occurs because a string in the Norwegian language version of Windows Media Player was not localized correctly.
RESOLUTION
The following file is available for download from the Microsoft Download Center:

Microsoft scanned this file for viruses. Microsoft used the most current virus-detection software that was available on the date that the file was posted. The file is stored on security-enhanced servers that help to prevent any unauthorized changes to the file.
