When you click in the area of a shape in Microsoft Office PowerPoint 2003 Viewer, the action that is assigned to the shape may not occur and the PowerPoint 2003 presentation may end or advance to the next slide.
This behavior may occur if the shape does not contain a fill color.
To work around this behavior, use one of the following methods.

Method 1: View the Presentation in PowerPoint 2003

Open the presentation in PowerPoint 2003 and view the presentation in Slide Show view.

Method 2: Add a Fill Color

Edit the shape to include a fill color. To do this, follow these steps:
  1. Start PowerPoint 2003, and then open your presentation.
  2. Right-click the shape that contains no fill color, and then click Format AutoShape.
  3. On the Colors and Lines tab, change the Color box in the Fill area to a color or fill effect.
  4. Click OK to close the Format AutoShape dialog box.
