"Access is denied" error message when you use client-side caching to synchronize a home folder that is mapped to a drive letter in Windows XP

When you map your home shared folder to a drive letter, make the home shared folder available offline, and then try to synchronize the home shared folder by using client-side caching (CSC), you may receive the following error message:
Access is denied.
If you try to access the offline folder after receiving this error message, you receive the following error message:
Drive_letter:\ is not accessible.
Access is denied.
