FIX: You experience an InvalidOperationException error in an application that uses the Enterprise Instrumentation Framework

An application that uses the Microsoft Enterprise Instrumentation Framework (EIF) stops responding, and you experience an InvalidOperationException error.
This problem occurs because an internal deadlock makes the application stop working. This problem persists until you restart the computer.
To resolve this problem, obtain the latest service pack for the Microsoft .NET Framework 1.0.

Microsoft has confirmed that this is a problem in the Microsoft products that are listed in the "Applies to" section. This problem was first corrected in the Microsoft .NET Framework 1.0 Service Pack 3.
