FIX: You receive an error C1001 error message when you compile a project that uses Standard Template Library code in Visual C++ .NET 2003

In Microsoft Visual Studio .NET 2003, if you compile a Microsoft Visual C++ .NET project that uses Standard Template Library code, the compiler quits unexpectedly (crashes), and you receive the following error message:
Test.cpp(33689) : fatal error C1001: INTERNAL COMPILER ERROR (compiler file 'msc1.cpp', line 2701) Please choose the Technical Support command on the Visual C++ Help menu, or open the Technical Support help file for more information
Note The source line number that is mentioned in the error message refers to the _LockIt class constructor is Standard Template Library code.
A supported hotfix is now available from Microsoft, but it is only intended to correct the problem that is described in this article. Only apply it to systems that are experiencing this specific problem. This hotfix may receive additional testing. Therefore, if you are not severely affected by this problem, we recommend that you wait for the next Microsoft Visual Studio .NET 2003 service pack that contains this hotfix.
