When you configure the Monitoring and Status feature to use e-mail as a status notification method in Microsoft Exchange Server 2003, some of the body or all the body in the notification messages that you receive may be blank.
This issue may occur when the notification message template contains characters that are not part of the ASCII character set. For example, this issue may occur when you use a notification message template that was translated to a language that uses characters that are not part of the ASCII character set. For example, this problem might occur in a notification message template that uses Korean characters.
The blank parts of the message body are created because of a problem in the way Windows Management Instrumentation (WMI) handles the characters that are not part of the ASCII character set.
Note WMI is a component of Microsoft Windows. The problem in WMI occurs at the operating system level, not in Exchange 2003.
To work around this issue, use one of the following methods.
Method 1: Replace characters in the notification messageFor example, if you experience this issue with a notification message that contains Korean characters, replace the Korean characters with characters that are part of the ASCII character set, such as English characters.
