When you try to visit a Web site that uses an internationalized domain name (IDN), you may receive an error message that is similar to the following error message:

There is a problem with the page you are trying to reach and it cannot be displayed.

This issue occurs because versions of Microsoft Internet Explorer earlier than version 7 do not support IDNs. IDNs uses non-ASCII characters. Internet Explorer 6 and earlier versions cannot resolve a URL whose domain name contains non-ASCII characters.
To resolve this issue, upgrade to Internet Explorer 7. If you are unable or unwilling to upgrade to Internet Explorer 7, you may install a third-party program to support IDNs. For example, the following third-party programs support IDNs:
