Question: On the T-4 screen, what will cause an amount to be displayed on the Union Dues line. I have a number of deductions noted as Union, but this does not appear to affect the Union Dues information of the T-4 inquiry screen.
An amount will go into Box 44 - Union Dues field in the T4 if the Deduction Pay code has a 'Further Identification' as Union Dues AND is set to 'Before Tax Deduction=' YES.
If the Before Tax Deduction field is set to NO, then the user will need to update it manually on the T4.
