A connection may use a default Windows icon instead of the correct icon after you change your display settings

When you create a connection icon by using the Connection Manager Administration Kit (CMAK), the icon may not display correctly. When this problem occurs, the connection icon is replaced by a default Windows icon.
This issue may occur when you change the display settings on your computer.

Hotfix information

A supported hotfix is available from Microsoft. However, this hotfix is intended to correct only the problem that is described in this article. Apply this hotfix only to systems that are experiencing this specific problem.
