FIX: You may receive an "Operation Aborted" error message in Internet Explorer 6.0 Service Pack 1 (SP1) if the SmartNav feature is enabled on .aspx pages

In Microsoft Internet Explorer 6.0 Service Pack 1 (SP1), when you click Back or Forward, you may receive an error message that is similar to the following:
Internet Explorer cannot open the Internet site

Operation Aborted
This problem occurs when the SmartNav feature is enabled on .aspx pages.

Hotfix information

A supported hotfix is now available from Microsoft, but it is only intended to correct the problem that is described in this article. Only apply it to systems that are experiencing this specific problem. This hotfix may receive additional testing. Therefore, if you are not severely affected by this problem, we recommend that you wait for the next Microsoft Visual Studio .NET 2003 service pack that contains this hotfix.
