In Microsoft SQL Server 2000 Analysis Services, when you perform an incremental update of a changing dimension, you may receivean error message that is similar to the following:
Analysis Server Error: Connection to the server is lost Rolling back transaction in Database 'Database Name' Connection to the server is lost
An error message that is similar to the following may appear in the Event Viewer Application log on the Analysis Services server:
Event Type: Error Event Source: MSSQLServerOLAPService Event Category: Server Event ID: 117 Date: Date of Event Time: Time of Event User: N/A Computer: Analysis Server Computer Name Description:Unexpected fatal error occurred. Attempting to restart server.

This hotfix requires Microsoft SQL Server 2000 Analysis Services Service Pack 3 (SP3).
You do not have to restart your computer after you apply this hotfix.
The English version of this hotfix has the file attributes (or later) that are listed in the following table. The dates and times for these files are listed in coordinated universal time (UTC). When you view the file information, it is converted to local time. To find the difference between UTC and local time, use the Time Zone tab in the Date and Time tool in Control Panel.
